Undergraduate Majors and Bachelor’s Degrees

A bachelor’s degree can open doors for a lifetime, and Online at UNO is here to help you earn the key no matter where you are in your education journey.

Want to jump-start your career with a degree or switch fields by pursuing a new field of study? Don't wait any longer!

Find Your Major

Undergraduate Minors

A minor is a great way to explore a subject or discipline you’re curious about while also expanding your education. Minors can only be added for degree-seeking students, but minors do not have to be taken in the same UNO college as your major field of study.

Chemistry major and love good English literature? Go for an English minor!

And all minors are added to a student’s transcript at the time of graduation so that future employers can see your entire range of expertise.

With a minor, you are free to explore all of your passions and get credit for it!

Undergraduate Certificates

Certificates can be either a valuable companion to other degrees or be completed as a standalone program without a degree in order to advance your education. Most certificate programs require fewer credits and a shorter time commitment than a degree program while still helping you develop and/or learn the skills you need and the credentials you require for your career path.

You can take as many certificate programs as you’d like, and the undergraduate credits can be applied later on to a bachelor’s degree program. You can even add a certificate after you have completed your undergraduate education.

A 60-Year Journey

Madeline Adams, Multidisciplinary Studies, College of Public Affairs and Community Service

The nearly 1,000 miles that separated Madeline Adams in Galveston, Texas, and UNO’s campus proved not to be an obstacle in her pursuit to finish her college degree that she first started in the 1960s.

UNO’s online courses made it easy for her to go at her own pace and eventually walk across the graduation stage in front of her kids and grandkids.

“I think I would thank myself that I made a decision and I stuck with it.”
